What is your Passion?
My passion is Life. Being alive and healthy, doing new things, learning new skills, meeting interesting people…all of that!

Would you say you fulfil your passion for a living?
Yes! I love what I’m doing. It came as a surprise to me because I never imagined my career taking such turn. I have always been in touch with the creative world. When I lived in New York and LA, I worked in the fashion and beauty industry. But now, with my webzine Discover Out Loud, I’ve really broadened my horizons. It brings me so much joy to learn something new every day and to put myself out there. My life today embodies all the things that I like doing: being creative, meeting new people, learning from them…I also love the fact that I’m doing my own thing. I get to direct, to do shoots, and also to travel a lot and discover many cool hotels and restaurants… I love every part of it!

Could you tell us a little bit about Discover out Loud?
Discover Out loud is a lifestyle webzine covering the usual themes like travel, food, fashion, influencers but with my own spin on things. I don’t want to just write about lifestyle, I’m interested in storytelling. Whenever I go to a new restaurant that I really like, I always try to meet the owner or the chef. I want to understand the person behind the product or the service. Once you attach a face or a personality to something, it automatically becomes more than just a product – you form an emotional attachment to it.
My webzine contains a lot of storytelling, as well as a lot of interviews with influencers. I love interviewing people who have made it or are on their way up, people who have something special to share. It’s a great way to get inspired and inspire others. I want to give people hope and help them aspire to something greater – to inspire them to challenge themselves!

Speaking of inspiration, what inspired you to create Discover Out Loud?
I moved here from New York where I was a Producer and an Account Manager for a Creative Content agency focused on all things Beauty. There, I worked with big brands, such as L’Oréal, Maybelline NY, Garnier, Redken, Moroccan Oil, Phyto to name a few. So, my entire professional career always evolved around the creative world.
Moving to Switzerland was a big change for me. As you may know, Zurich is not a particularly creative city. It was also very challenging because I didn’t speak the language and didn’t really know anyone here. At first, I worked on some freelance projects, which gave me a great head start and allowed me to better understand the inner workings of Swiss companies.
Then I decided to start this blog, just for fun. It was an opportunity for me to be creative and do something of interest to me. And it sort of took off from there. DOL evolves as I grow and learn from it. Its personality changes over time, but I think that’s natural because I also change with time. It started out as an outlet for my creativity, for me to “survive” this big change in my life. Before that, I hadn’t really blogged or handled a camera. But the things that I dreaded the most in the past curiously became the things that I’m most passionate about today!
Discover Out Loud was a way for me to find my groove, to feel at home here. I wanted to integrate myself into the city, not in a superficial, but in a meaningful way.

So, what does the future look like for Discover Out Loud?
Nowadays, with social media, it all changes so fast. It’s hard to keep up with everything that’s going on and stay relatable and interesting to people while also staying true to myself. At the end of the day, I want to be doing something that feels authentic to me. Lately, I’ve been doing more and more branded content campaigns. I also try to make a social impact whenever possible. But everything happens more or less unexpectedly! I’m just going along with things as they come.
