1. Salon du Chocolat, Paris: 28 October- 1 November

Few things sound more delectable than a Chocolate Festival in Paris! Over the course of 5 days, pastry chefs, cocoa producers, and cocoa coinnoseurs come together from all around the world to talk about all things chocolate. The exhibition includes live chef demos, lectures and talks, and, of course, tastings! The highlight of the event is the Chocolate Fashion Show, where designers showcase their exceptional chocolate-based designs.

2. White Truffle Festival, Alba, Italy: 2 October- 31 December

The White Truffle Festival is a gastronomic celebration of the rare white truffles found in the Piedmont region. The festival features truffle markets, food fairs, and culinary events. Seize the opportunity to taste some of the world’s best truffles, direct from the woods of Langhe and Monferrato. The festival is also a unique chance to discover Alba’s heritage and culture through folklore events and historical re-enactments taking place during the festival. Tasting experiences, cooking classes, and delectable truffle-based dishes from the world’s top chefs are also on the menu!

3. Taste the Mediterranean, Split, Croatia- 4-9 October

This unique food festival is dedicated to celebrating the amazing benefits of the Mediterranean Diet. The festival takes place at a beautiful UNESCO-listed palace. Visit the festival for an exciting programme of food and wine tastings, workshops, and expert panel discussions. There will also be many chances to taste Mediterranean-based meals from the best local restaurants, prepared by top Croatian and International chefs. The opening event also includes a unique foodie tour of the city of Split, including a visit to the Diocletian Palace, the green market, and the fish market. A great way to discover Croatia’s culture through its food.

4. World Raclette Championship, Switzerland, 27-29 October

This year, the village of Morgins will host the World’s First Raclette Championship! This one-of-a-kind event invites raclette lovers and producers from across the world to celebrate this delicious Swiss speciality. Featuring local, regional, and international raclette cheeses, the aim of the festival is to crown the best cheeses in each category, from raw milk raclettes to speciality raclettes. Throughout the weekend, there will be a pop-up Raclette Village with alpine stands, serving traditional raclette-based dishes. Indulge your taste buds with this one-off culinary event!

5. Pumpkin Festival, Ludwigsburg, 25 August- 3 December

Beautiful Ludwigsburg is home to the baroque Ludwigsburg Residential Palace, which hosts many exciting events throughout the year. The highlight is the delightful Pumpkin Festival, which takes place in autumn. The festival features around 450,000 pumpkins and 600 varieties! Expect to see elaborate pumpkin sculptures and taste delicious pumpkin-based dishes, including soup, and even waffles. The highlight is the local dish Maultaschen, which consists of sheets of pasta dough, normally filled with minced meat, but in this case, filled with pumpkin!
