1. Antibes, France

You’ve heard about Cannes and Nice, but have you heard about the charming town that lies between the two? The town of Antibes is the South of France’s lesser-known gem. Overlooking the Riviera, this charming coastal town boasts a relaxed vibe, sandy beaches and a stunning town centre. Walk through the winding cobbled streets of the medieval old town and stop for a beverage at one of the town’s picturesque cafés. Also, don’t miss the chance to go yacht-spotting at the marina and swimming at the town’s golden sandy beaches. Fun fact: the town is the home of the world-famous artist Pablo Pisacco. Be sure to check out the tower of the Picasso Museum, for iconic artworks accompanied by a stunning view.

Furore is the Amalfi Coast’s best-kept secret. This little village is unlike any other destination in Europe. Part-mountain, part-beach, this little village is referred to by locals as “the village that isn’t”. With no main square, the village is spread over a hilltop that leads up to a golden coast. The town catches the eyes of travellers driving across the Amalfi coast because of its beautiful coloured houses, many of which have been painted by local artists. Furore’s most stunning sight though is Fiordo, a narrow gorge that forms a sheltered sandy inland where the locals go swimming.
