Robin Kipp, from Bensheim in Germany, studies Communications and Media Management at the International University of Monaco. His passion is living life to the fullest despite any adversity that may arise.

  • What is your passion? Would you say you fulfill your passion for living?

First of all, let’s talk about what fulfilling my passion for a living actually means to me. Defining that is actually quite a challenge, since I see myself as an open-minded person with lots of different interests, who can be inspired and passionate about many things. One of my greatest passions is certainly to live my life the way I want to, making new experiences, learning new skills, and achieving new goals.

For instance, I am currently studying Communications and Media Management at the International University of Monaco. The University has accepted me as a student, even though I am their very first completely blind student, and they had never had any experience with such a condition up to that point. Evidently, this was a challenge for both the University and myself. But, I was surprisingly pleased by the way all the people involved were committed and enthusiastic about this undertaking right from the start. Sure, there were some obstacles along the way that had to be overcome, but thanks to the commitment of the University and my own passion for success, this has been a very enjoyable and rewarding experience overall.

Apart from my degree, something else that I am very passionate about is music. In my opinion, music is one of the most important things in life, and so I have decided to become more than just a listener; I also want to work with music. That is why after graduating from high school, my best friend Ryan and I went on a trip to New York, where we took a two-week introductory DJ course. A lot has happened since then, and we have had many opportunities to play many memorable gigs in Switzerland, Monaco, Germany, and Spain.

What I love about DJ’ing is not only the music but also how people react to it. In my opinion, there is no better feeling than the feeling you get when standing in front of a large group of people, giving them something they enjoy, which makes them happy and inspires them to interact and get lost in the moment.

It was during one of those moments when I discovered that my ultimate passion is to inspire other people and make them happy with what I am doing!

Working to fulfill of those different passions at the same time is tough, but I try to do it as much as possible. So, I would say that I am constantly working on fulfilling my passions, which is sometimes challenging, but always loads of fun.
